Lovely park along the Norwalk River with some great walking/jogging trails. A few steps and lots of hills for those looking for a bit of a challenge. The park's paths are long enough to get in a decent workout. Childrens playground in the front of park near the parking lot. Park is clean and well kept. The free parking lot accessible from North Water Street accommodates about 25 vehicles. Walking distance to/from the Maritime Aquarium...great stop before or after your visit there.

Pretty decent park and a nice trail to walk. There’s a little bit of everything for anyone who comes here. Usually clean and well kept. There is a small (free) parking lot. The limit is "90 minutes." In the summer, the ice cream truck drives into the parking lot. Cons: There are dumb kids on mopeds driving on the sidewalk and through the playground. And when it gets dark, there are people smoking marijuana everywhere. I suggest not walking here at night, and if you do, don't go alone.

My visit to Oyster Shell Park on Thanksgiving Day was delightful. This hidden gem provided the perfect setting for a peaceful escape with my parents. The historical touch added an extra layer of fascination, allowing us to learn about the area's rich past while enjoying the scenic beauty. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to unwind and escape from typical city-life.

Visited here yesterday as it was so close to the aquarium near by. Beautiful place with a full size playground. My only wish is that the road to and the deck is paved for a casual strolling. The roads were rough and there was just no way we could take a quite stroll. We had to return back out. But we will return again when we visit the aquarium next time.

Walked along water here once with family after a day at SONO. Peaceful and pleasant with playground and dog park in the vicinity.
