No BEACH (which I knew). I think the beach people are confusing it with is PACIFICA ESPLANADE? Beautiful beach and not as crowded as other Pacifica beaches or Fort Funston. Speaking of, I like that PALISADES PLAYGROUND has a small off-leash dog run. It's good for reactive dogs. We came on a foggy Sunday and parking was easy.

I didn't see access to the beach, as indicated by other's photos and reviews of Palisades Park. I think that some of the photos posted in the reviews of this park, are of other places, like Fort Funston and Baker Beach maybe? Palisades Park is a nice park with a green lawn for picnicking, a good play structure (including monkey bars and swings) for children, and a small but well-fenced in dog play area. The dog play area has some patches of grass on the hardened dirt ground, with some gravel to fill in any holes. We ended up going to Fort Funston closeby, as we only met one other dog at this little dog park (their first time, too, and they were also mislead by the reviews that mention there being a dog beach here). Palisades Park could be a nice place to do some off-leash training, and to throw the ball around a little, or to have one-on-one time with your pup off-leash. It's a peaceful neighborhood to walk around. But yeah, please know that some of the photos (the beach ones) posted here, are misleading. There is no beach access, as far as I could tell. And at least at 5pm on a Sunday, there was only one other dog there to play.

Playground is good for up to 10 yr olds. Floor needs more wood mulch.

Convenient neighborhood park with a play structure and a separate dog play area. Mostly grass, with wood chips around the play structure.
