Easy to walk to in the neighborhood. Took our dog there for the first time this morning, the park is small but well maintained. Grass is nice. Doggy bag station is stocked and clean. Nice areas for walking or playing fetch if your dog is well behaved. FYI: there are no fences if your dog decides to explore past the park! We didn't go to the playground side but it looked well attended with a family and children playing there. A tire swing, a pile of logs, and a stairway (?) made for some visual interest...not the coolest playground but better than nothing. 😊
This park brings a lot of community together. Today I sat here and watched a family enjoy the swing, others played basketball and we sat, backs against a tree, taking in some Detroit air - overall comfortable and safe park. HOWEVER, the playground is completely lacking in any creative or purposeful design. The staircase that leads to nothing serves as a sad attempt to evoke movement and joy but only serves as a sad raft on a stranded island of boredom.
So I come to this park every summer to play my steel drums for my friends who teach yoga here, I really like the park only problem is is not well lit at night and you do get some weird people that just be walking around just real suspicious especially if you're parked in certain areas You don't know if they are scouting your cars or what but overall this is a pretty good park to bring the kids
Nice spot of green in the concrete grid that is Detroit. Awesome place to escape to if you’re after a chill spot to relax and take a breather
This park is great for a nice grassy space. However, the worst playground I have ever seen was built here. This playground is where imagination goes to die. It has a platform that goes to nowhere. It has a swingset that could accommodate multiple swings but only one lone tire swing. It has some logs you can…. stand on? Where as this playground could have been a space where kids and families from the community could go and play, instead we have this pretentious monument which is out of touch and does little more than take up space. Hardly anyone ever uses this space and if I were a kid being brought here I would think I was being punished.
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
