Paul S. Dryer Nature Preserve at Windmill Hill delivers a quiet and well kept trail system. You get clear paths, steady footing, and a clean environment. The views give you a strong sense of open space. Parking sits close to the entrance so you move in and out without stress. The area stays peaceful even during busy hours. You get a solid spot for walking, bird watching, and short breaks during the day.

Went here for the first time the other day and I must say it’s an absolutely beautiful place to go hiking!! Lots of trails and even some with different inclines and views. Loved all the lil gnome friends out there as well! I love when parks do that fun stuff! Very shaded with plenty of trees. Only downside was there’s no physical maps and the trails could get mixed up. They were a little hard to follow. But nonetheless it was a great area to check out for a hike and I can’t wait to go back! 🍄

Beautiful trails. Today was my first time visiting. I'm a beginner when it comes to hiking and this place was perfect. My dog even impressed me on some of the steeper terrain. Didn't see much wildlife, but I hope to see more critters as I visit more often. The trails were clean and easy to maneuver. I highly recommend to anyone wanting a quick or beginner-friendly hike!

Easy to moderate hiking trails, which also look to be good for mountain biking. Long sections are in full shade or dappled sunlight. A few picnic tables dispersed in case you don't want to rest on the ground. We've brought kids under five; as long as you have a hiking stick to steady yourself on the steep parts, you can hold their hand and everyone will be fine. There's enough cell signal for popular exercise apps to map your distance. On our most recent visit we met the trail steward; nice guy with a sense of humor. If you are tuned in to your surroundings, you might detect a banjo... ;-)
