I visited this beautiful dog park in Sugar Land and it’s truly a lovely place — spacious, clean, and very inviting.
I have a small beagle who is a bit of an escape artist 😄 and absolutely loves playing with bigger dogs. I was really hoping that after the recent renovations, the park would be fully secure so that smaller dogs wouldn’t be able to slip out under the fence.
Unfortunately, it does seem like there are spots where a small dog could potentially escape. I would truly appreciate it if this could be taken into consideration and maybe a small additional barrier or lower fencing could be added, so the park can be 100% secure and safe for even the smallest dogs.

It is a nice dog park for larger dogs. I have a smaller pup and took him to the small area. Not much to do there. The big dog park has a pond, the small area has nothing.

Its one of the best parks out here. There are always plenty of other dogs for your friend to interact with. Lots of room to run and walk. The water area for the dogs doesn't look like the cleanest. My pooch doesnt get into it but she does try to drink from it. Does anyone know if it's ever cleaned?

It's a nice LARGE park with both a small dog and big dog fenced areas. The big dog area has plenty of room to run, try an agility course, or play in the pond. The small dog area also has an agility course. Covered seating in both areas along with lounge chairs around the pond. There are rinsing stations outside of the park which was a little annoying since you can't have your dogs off leash outside the park. It would have been nicer if there was a walking trail all the way around the park.

Of all the dog parks we have been to in the greater Houston area, this is #1. For starters, the parking is plentiful (as long as it's not Saturday or Sunday when the cyclists are there in large numbers) and it's free. Then, there are two expansive and well maintained dog parks side-by-side, one for small breeds and one for all breeds. There are plenty of trees and a covered picnic area for shade, and lots of thick grass to keep the mud to a minimum. In the large dog area, there's a good size splash pond for those pups who like to swim, and a few acres of well kept and thick lawn for those pups who love to chase a ball or frisbee. Most people are pretty good about cleaning up after their dogs, but some simply find a chair and let their pups run around, without a thought to cleaning up after them. When it's time to leave, if your pup got a little carried away in the pond or rolling around in one of the few areas where it's a bit muddy, there's a dog wash station on the outside of the fence. If you're up for a nice long walk after playing in the park, there's a huge field, with restroom facilities and a picnic area, just across from the dog park, where you can walk about a mile perimeter trail around the field and against the Brazos river. There is almost nothing not to love about Pawm Springs. Note, they are CLOSED on MONDAY for maintenance!
