New playground! This park just opened and is so inviting. The playground is designed for kids ages 5 and up, but my toddlers still had a fun time. The grass is beautiful and there is a mini fenced in dog park. The picnic tables are covered by a shelter or visit one of the many restaurants in the area. You can also visit the fire station across the street. We rang the door bell and my kids got a tour of the station and pictures with the fire trucks.
Great little park. Get food across the street at Key Cafe. Then take your dog over to the dog park, and your kid to the playground. There are permanent tables. You bring your own chairs. There are also group benches under a shaded structure you can sit and eat at. Plenty of grass. Young trees. Great concrete layout. Very nice while visiting.
The park is too bright at night for many neighboring residents. The poor design of the park lights makes it so that the lights radiates into the surrounding residents' windows. The park it self looks nice but the lights need to be dimmer at night or the city needs to pay for curtain installation. Very poor execution.
What a beautiful artist built and inspired little park. It's all of 1/8 of a city block small maybe 100 ft square right on Robert street a key artery for downtown Saint Paul. And yet this little artistic piece of peace, draws you in and slows you down. If you are in the north end of downtown walking lunching, whatever... take five minutes for a mental health reset here. You won't regret it.
Looks like the playground equipment is by Flagship Recreation, I like it, not so much plastic, and I'm glad they are local, based in Lake Elmo MN. Their Instagram called flagshipplay if you want to see more of their designs :)
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
