I like the spaciousness of the park but not many People pick up their dogs droppings. There was some mud amd the grass was a bit patchy. I guess that's what you get when the park is free. If you need poop bags there are some next to one of several gates. It looked empty bit I opened the lid and fixed the roll so they could be seen again.

Convenient dog park, but it is on the small side, and not much for grass… expect a lot of dust, or mud if it’s recently rained. People here are great. Very courteous dog owners in my experiences here.

I'll be nice, because I love this park because of the people and its busy. Other than that. Its needs love. Grass is nonexistent. Summer or winter. Do not come after a rain. Its horrible. Has gotten noticeably worse over the past couple years. I've seen them try to seed it and close it down for some time. Doesn't help. My suggestion is to block off a 1/4 or so with temporary fence and let it grow and then continue doing this. Allowing the park to stay open and still give it a chance.

Penn Valley Dog Park is a huge and fun space that's not your typical dog playground. It's quite large, and it's close to the WWI memorial, giving it a cool historical vibe for your dog's playtime. At the bottom entrance, there's a nice water fountain to make sure both you and your dog stay refreshed during your time there. During the winter times the fountain is off, so try to remember to bring a liter jug with you so you can refill one of the many communal dog bowls! There are plenty of comfy spots to sit around the park, giving owners a chance to chill or chat while their dogs have a blast playing around. Plus, they've got fetching balls, adding an extra level of excitement to playtime. This isn't your average dog park; it's a well-planned spot that will be a lot of fun!

Large open area for big dogs and little open area for small dogs. What it is missing is some agility toys. Bring water dish and poop bags as they run out fast. There is a fountain on site. Nice area to park your car. You could even pack a lunch as there is a picnic table on each side.
