What a fun Chritmas tradition to do the drive through. Certainly will do it again next year. I liked the photo opportunities during the drive! Food trucks were a great idea!

Imagine a winter wonderland where the entire park becomes a canvas for a dazzling display of holiday lights, transforming the familiar pathways into a magical journey. This enchanting experience can be found at the local park, where an annual event turns the night into a festive celebration of lights and colors. As you drive through the park, each turn and corner presents a new scene, brilliantly illuminated with thousands of lights. The creativity of the displays is impressive, ranging from twinkling snowflakes and dancing reindeer to scenes of winter wonderlands and festive characters. The drive is leisurely, allowing you and your passengers to take in every detail from the warmth and comfort of your car. The road closure within the park for this event might seem like a small inconvenience, but it’s actually a blessing. It creates a safe, pedestrian-free path for vehicles, making this illuminated tour an uninterrupted joy for everyone involved. The $5 entry fee feels minimal for the immersive experience offered, providing great value for a night of holiday enchantment. Here’s a tip: If you can, visit during the week to avoid larger weekend crowds. This allows for a more relaxed pace, and you’ll have more time to enjoy the twinkling vistas without rush. Whether you’re looking for a new holiday tradition or simply a way to brighten up a chilly winter evening, the park’s drive-through light display offers a spectacular option. It’s not just a viewing of holiday lights; it’s an event that captures the joy and wonder of the season, leaving you and your loved ones with lasting memories of beauty and light.

Quaint park with a launching pad. We were able to launch 2 paddle boards, a kayak and a row boat without much issue. There are picnic tables and a clean restroom nearby.

Great Christmas lights displays! $5 per car load to get in. There are some food trucks on the left side about half way through. They have fresh hot donuts at one, hot dogs, popcorn, hot coco, at another and then one truck with Middle Eastern food. Donuts take about 10 minutes to fry. There is also a working restroom at the end of the food trucks. They represent Jewish and Muslim people too with displays dedicated to them. So everyone is included. Highly recommended!

Great Park on Hines Drive. All the swings were in working order. This is a great transition park between older and younger kids. All the park is accessable from stairs and there is a spider web and climbing areas for older kids. There was quite a bit of trash that wasn't cleaned up from weekend activities. But there was also three trash cans in the area. Easy to clean up. There is a working bathroom and basketball court. Also a baseball field.
