I would definitely no longer recommend this place. We had been here in the past and had okay experiences. So we were not worried about boarding our dog here for an entire week. BIG MISTAKE! We booked our dog in the VIP suite and paid for extra play time. Yet almost every time we checked the camera in her suite she was just laying in there. I called multiple times and was told I had "just missed" her out playing. One time I was told she was out playing but was clearly still laying in her suite. When we picked her up she was definitely not the same dog we dropped off. She had an ear infection, UTI, skin infection on her paws, and had lost 5lbs in just a week! We spent $400 in vet bills. On top of that, she didn't even receive the "complimentary" bath before we picked her up and came home smelling badly which was another $100 to take her to the groomers. I tried reaching out to Pet Paradise weeks ago and they couldn't even be bothered to respond back. We will never be going back there again!

My pups absolutely love this place! Every time they go, they have a blast and come home totally exhausted from all the fun. I was definitely nervous the first time leaving them—my dogs are my whole world—but now I actually get excited to drop them off (even though I still miss them, of course!). It gives me so much peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands, getting love, playtime, and top-notch care while I’m away. Huge thank you to the amazing staff for always treating my fur babies like their own. You all make going out of town so much easier!

Our pup has stayed at Pet Paradise several times. However, our most recent experience was disappointing. We dropped him off at 7am and received a call at 9am to retrieve him. They know that he does experience anxiety and takes a day to settle in. They know this and have done well in the past with understanding that some pets need an adjustment period. Especially going from a quiet home to a kennel. We were told he “lunged” at an employee. This is new behavior so we asked a series of questions but there were NO answers. When we picked him up from the facility, we asked for video footage and/or an incident report but they couldn’t provide either. We were told there wasn’t an incident report because there was no skin torn or blood. In fact, the employee offered to recreate the lunging moment? How do you offer to do that if you are so fearful? Obviously, we are concerned about our pup’s “lunging moment” but can only conclude that this is a very inexperienced team. Very, very disappointing.

I have taken my dog to board here several times, always having a great experience. Most of the staff seem very comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I was extremely disappointed in my last visit yesterday. I dropped my dog off at my appointment time of 7 am and everything went well as I'm used to. Having used the services here before, I was confident that they knew my dog needs a day to settle in. He won't eat the first day and stays to himself. Despite that, I let the lady I was speaking with know that he will likely not eat or want to play the first day. I was surprised when I was asked to pick him up at 9 am because he "lunged" at several animals and a couple of employees, which is not his behavior. I've had the dog 3 years and he has never lunged at anything but his food bowl. I was informed that I needed to pick him up immediately but I was already at work. When I got there later that day to pick him up, I was met by the same lady from that morning, who quickly used her radio to summon 3 other employees for reasons I still dont understand. I asked to see some form of video showing his "lunge" and was informed that, in order to protect their other clients's privacy, they couldnt do that, so I asked for an incident report or other written record that this had happened. I was told that because there was no skin-to-skin contact, there was no incident report and no one was willing to write anything summarizing the events that led to my dog being effectively expelled from boarding. So, if I am reading the situation correctly, I am being asked to pick up my clearly dangerous dog, by myself (I was led to his kennel to personally get him), and all I have to go on about his behavior is the word of an employee. Nothing official at all, no report, just 'he was bad and he can't stay'. I understand that these are not children in the literal sense, but as a "pet service" establishment, I would assume that the staff knows that people treat their animals like children because they are literally part of their families. If a child has a bad day in school, there is an incident report and a phone call, sometimes even a conference with the principal. With Pet Paradise, I got a brief second-hand summary of events and a "can't stay here". Not that he would be allowed back there, but would I want to after this? He has stayed at Pet Smart's boarding location before without issue. I guess this is what happens when you try to give the little guy a chance. I'll stick with the big guys. I had to cancel my weekend vacation because of this.
