Very clean trail! Well maintained with a good amount of shade. Plenty of markers to identify trail headings and directions. There is a good amount of wildlife (Deer, Birds & lizards). A good place to walk with pets and family or run/ bike. With the heat there is a water fountain on location but recommend bringing your own water source. Other connecting sites such as play ground and dog park.
Yall, am loving Phil Hardberger park! If you have not checked out their new SkyWalk and Landbridge that opened 2021, you are missing out. The SkyWalk kinda felt like was walking in the trees, definitely unique. If you park at 1021 Volecker Ln, 78248 Trailhead Parking lot, head towards the trails, and make a right at the Waterloop trail, it's a little less than a mile till you reach the SkyWalk. The trail I took was mostly shaded and easy to walk. attach a photo highlighting the route from that parking lot to SkyWalk/Landbridge. Walking at a leisure pace, including lots of stops and pictures and turning back after visiting the SkyWalk/ Landbridge area...took my Husband and me about 48 minutes total... but there are lots of other trails too and you can certainly make your trip worth hours. Phil Hardberger is great for walking, running, bicycling. It has paved trails, dirt trails, lots of birds, butterflies, deer, and much more... It can fit various hiking moods. Go enjoy!
Many deer, tame. Saw an armadillo as well! Pretty walking/biking area, nothing too treacherous.
Beautiful trails, but bicycles go through very fast and my husband is deaf...we almost got squashed because he couldn't hear the bicyclist. I don't recommend this place for dogs or walkers. Very dangerous!
Really fun park for children. The brand new sky walk is fun. The bridge over the highway they loved. We saw four deer. And there is a playground near the parking lot we used.
When Google exported structured hours, they’re surfaced here instead of being buried in the raw payload.
