It's in a great side of town behind the police academy so its a safe place to take your kids and hangout. They also have a great skatepark there.

Great park but the enclosed dog areas aren't lit at all. Like look at my photos, you can literally see Jason from Friday the 13th staring at you with a machete in the pitch black. And it was like 6:30PM. Would come back during the daytime.

Great park. Lots of amenities - however, the lighting could be better. The playground and bathroom area particularly, are NOT well lit. Pickleball courts are ALWAYS in use - tennis courts NEVER. The least the city could do is tape the tennis courts for dual use, OR convert them all together. Basketball and skatepark, bike park always being used. Lots of dog walkers too. Lots of pavilions with tables for picnics. Ball fields across the street.

They got rid of a lot of the grass, especially on the north side, where they doubled the size of the parking lot. Theres also a new pickleball court. Used to be a great park but now it feels a bit empty.

In A Nutshell: -The recently updated Police Memorial Park is nice. -They got rid of some grass areas but they also left plenty of it. -Actually they left more than I tbought they would, which is a plus. -Xeriscaping is good for our community. -I like the new shaded structures & the two new memorial statues (one dedicated to the police & the other dedicated to dog's). Overall, it's a nice, small community park.
