We came for the playground, which was safe.As far as for fun, you'd have to ask my child lol. It seemed fairly standard but safe to a degree. We've come back a hand full of times and there is this one standing swing apparatus which is supposed to be tied down with a little leeway to build a little strength and balance as you walk on it to get to the next one beside it. But when I noticed my daughter swinging on it. It seemed odd that it would swing out too far when the adjacent ones on either sides of it were properly tethered/chained down to prevent it from a) running into a walk way, b) colliding into the other c) tipping someone over.
They had not addressed it and taken care of that potential hazard yet.
I was raised in the 80's. So I figured," hey just let her be!" But when younger or less physically rambunctious children were trying to hang on and find their equilibrium her center apparatus banged into them knocking them off balance and often times right off 🤭.
So I pulled her right off to show some care for the safety of other people's children.
We moved on to other parts of that area as we watched in horror as some of the unregulated kids would just haphazardly an improperly use the particular playground equipment dangerously without knowing. And watching a Parent show how it's done and fall right off hurting their pride 🥹🤭. When the equipment has to be properly attached.
Moving right along, obviously, where there's ducks, and or geese, there will be their feces all over the place that's just the way it is. It's that's prolific. For the most part they stay by the water, but when a lot of them have ventured out further inland they leave their happy droppings of course.
it's a dog-friendly Park that has dog poop all over. I thought, hey, it's Manhattan Beach, surely some of these folks have a reasonable decorum of cleanliness and will pick up after their own dog. 🤷..
Maybe, it could be people not from around the area that are being disgusting not caring, usually is. That's not the parks fault. But it does need a little more attention to keep it from getting a little more out of hand which is coming close to.

We stumbled upon Polliwog Park and absolutely loved it. Such a beautiful park with a peaceful pond and lots of open space to explore. My granddaughter had the best time—she especially loved the ducks and learned how to say “duck” for the first time here! 🦆
The toddler play area is enclosed, which made it feel super safe and relaxed for little ones to run around. You can tell this place is very family-friendly—everyone we met was kind and welcoming. A perfect spot for a sunny afternoon with babies and young kids. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful community park with a lovely lake, plenty of open space, and free street parking nearby. The playground is very well equipped, and there’s also a solid outdoor workout station for adults. Bathrooms are available and generally convenient.
The main downside is the is the goose poop around the lake area — while the geese add to the scenery, there’s quite a bit of goose poop concentrated near the water, so watch your step.

It's a very well-maintained and clean park, It's a large and wonderful park. The only inconvenience is that there aren't many restrooms.

one of the best chill parks in manhattan beach, hands down. super peaceful vibes with the pond, ducks just living their best life, and plenty of open space to relax or walk around. the amphitheater is a cool touch and actually feels alive when events are happening. great spot for families, casual walks, or just zoning out for a bit. the disc golf course is a fun bonus, and the park is clean and well-maintained. dogs are allowed, which is a huge win. parking is usually manageable too.
overall, perfect balance between calm and community energy. yeah twin, this place slaps
