There’s a 2 mile loop that you can ride your bike around two different lakes that go behind the Spanish river library. Absolutely beautiful. Nice wide paved trail.

Pondhawk is a beautiful natural area with a paved trail for your comfort. Unfortunately there is litter in the water by the gazebo. Otherwise, it is a great place.

Beautiful wooded reserve. We saw many species of birds. One amazing sighting was a flock of wild parrots! No tickets required!

A Peaceful Hidden Gem in Boca Raton I had an amazing visit to Pondhawk Natural Area! This beautiful spot is the perfect escape when you want a quiet break surrounded by nature. The walking trails are clean, well marked, and easy to follow, making it a relaxing stroll for any level of fitness. I loved how peaceful everything felt you can hear the birds, the breeze through the trees, and the calm water around the lake. The boardwalk areas give you great views of the wetlands, and I even spotted turtles and a few different bird species along the way. It’s one of those places where you can slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy South Florida’s natural beauty without crowds or noise. Whether you’re going for a walk, taking pictures, or just clearing your mind, Pondhawk is a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommended if you’re in the Boca Raton area and want a peaceful outdoor experience!
