Pondview Paws Retreat - Appointment Required - Private Dog Park

Pondview Paws Retreat is AMAZING! We spent a priceless hour there this morning with 2 of our Goldens and 7 other Goldens from the area & their people. The owners of the property (Stephanie & Matt) were A+ hosts. Their fully fenced yard and pond and dock were PAWfect for the dogs to run & play and have a FUN time. Dogs that had never swam before, felt comfortable swimming for the very first time in the pond today. All the dogs got along great and ours were ready for a long nap this afternoon after their special adventure. This property is conveniently located in the heart of NW Cedar Rapids. The booking was so easy. We made new friends today and our dogs had a BLAST! We can't wait to come back again! Edit: One of our dogs contracted the Giardia parasite from the pond. We were only there for 30 minutes. Maybe spent 15 in the water. I would highly recommend not bringing water toys to avoid accidental swallowing of the pond water. I want to leave it at 5 stars as this is an amazing little retreat in our community, however I can’t justify it knowing the health of one of my pups was compromised. The rest of the resort was great. There was fresh water provided, toys, and the space was well maintained. Pups loved it!

We cannot even begin to express our Excitement for a wonderful place that we can take our dog. We were welcomed to Pondview Paws Retreat with open arms. The owners truly love dogs, just like we do, they are our fur babies! To see the enjoyment from the owners of the retreat, enjoying watching our dog play and swim just as much as we did Was absolutely Wonderful ! Our dog having a wonderful experience has left us with a true profound feeling of love and life! Pondview retreat is perfect for the simple fact that you also get a retreat from stress, a no worries private time for you and your dog, enjoying nature together! Being able to have a private environment where our dog can be free without any stress it is absolutely priceless!

Our furry friend loved the retreat!! It’s great to just walk around and have privacy in a nice well maintained area. It’s also nice that you can sign up to have more than just one dog in at a time. Next time we will be bringing one of Lewis friend to see if it will help motivate him to jump in the pond (; It was a nice touch that the owners allowed fresh water bottles and dog bowls! This place is awesome! The owners are friendly and really take pride in the facility. I was grateful to find a place that was all fenced in with a pond. Mavis had a blast playing. We will definitely be back!
