A very fascinating spot to take in some history. I found it beautiful even in the winter. Sad to see people have defaced some of the signage but hopefully that gets cleaned up. Worth a stop to learn and check out the pretty view.

Absolutely stunning area. The maps on the ground were great to connect us with history and help us envision the past

This hidden gem is still one of my favorites! Tucked in a beautiful Somerville neighborhood, this is the location where the militia retreated after the battle at Bunker Hill. The flag that flies here is the flag prior to the stars and stripes. You can walk up the stairs and circle the fort, but not go inside it. And there is a nice park to enjoy as well.

It's still beautiful. I have never had the chance to go inside to the top. It say it's going to be open on these dates I hope I have a chance to see it from the top😊 Somerville is becoming Unrecognizable from when I was a kids. There are a few things that are still around this being 1 of them.

Nice little park. Thought it was interesting that it was were the first us flag was flown in 1776. Nice view of Boston.
