Quarry Park

Walking through Quarry was so awesome. I was amazed how hidden this is. The entrance is about the width of a house. I brought my wife and son. Little did we know we'd end up in Veterans Memorial park. On rainy days you hear water rushing, trickling, you see deer, berry bushes, unique flowers and a ton of different mushrooms. There are breaks in the trees that allow you to see amazing views of the bay. It's a perfect place to teach your kids about nature and reward them with a playground at the end of the walk.

A pocket of wilderness in the heart of a neighborhood. The quarry can be a quiet destination or a pathway to Veteran's Park, just northeast. There's a seasonal creek that can roar after a big rainfall, and a handful of open space gathering areas perfect for outdoor group lectures.

Lovely hiked with the family. We had dinner overlooking the ocean. Dog and kid friendly hike. It was a great day!

Worth a gander… Ive brought my dogs here a few times and they seem to like it.

I loved going for walks down there when I lived in Skyline Forest above it.
