The gravel hills, especially in the heat, add a solid challenge and a great place for a tough, rewarding run. The area is well kept and clean. There also seems to be plenty of other cool features around, though it’s hard to notice everything when I'm focused on running.

Really loved this park and all the trails and wildlife areas this park had to offer. Lots of variations of views and natural lands. Highly recommend for hikers!

Queeny Park is one of my favorite places to hike in the St. Louis area—beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect mix of nature and accessibility. The trails are well-marked and offer a good variety, whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll or something more brisk and hilly. You’ll find paved paths, wooded sections, open fields, and even a few scenic overlooks. It’s especially gorgeous in the fall and spring! There’s plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and spots to rest or picnic along the way. Bonus points for being dog-friendly—my pup loves it just as much as I do. Whether you’re hiking solo, meeting a friend for a walk, or just looking to get a little movement in, Queeny Park delivers a solid outdoor escape close to the city. There are nice trails in this park with lots of scenery to enjoy, including a couple of small lakes. We also enjoy the Jarville Gardens near the barn.

The playground here has very little shade although the kids can keep out of it in the tunnels of the "pyramids". There were lots of people walking or bicycling around the lake and it is very pretty. You can fish here as well.
