City crew finally got the parking lot pot holes filled in yesterday! Only took 5 months of calling about it. Probably took 15min. to do the job. As a side note, it's amazing to me the number of lost articles of clothing I find in the park, esp. on Mon. mornings. I usu. leave them for a week, then take them home, wash them and drop them in a green bin. We boomers grew up being very careful of our belongings, and there was hell to pay if we lost any.

We took a break during the heat of the day to play in the shade of the beautiful oaks. 🌳 Parking was a bit limited, as a whole group of people were wrapping up playing sports in the field, but we were able to find a space. The playground equipment was clean. Swings for babies and older kids. We did a quick lesson about Keystones using the climbing equipment. The green bar at the top is a keystone because without it, the whole thing would fall. {Future renovations could consider adding in more inclusive equipment for those in wheel chairs and a tandem swing where adults can swing with their little sitting across from them.} 🫶🏼

The shackles holding up the individual swings are old, rusted, and have pulled apart. In my opinion, this is a safety issue.

Fun for the kids. Small but open space to kick around a soccer ball or play catch with the family. In a safe neighborhood so fellow goers are friendly to others.

This has become my favorite park to bring my 15 month old to. It's shaded, not too big, but has plenty of equipment. There tends to be a lot of toddlers too which is nice when trying to socialize with her. I will say, the slides are definitely high. I have a daredevil so it's not a problem for her but I can see how it would be overwhelming for a more cautious kid.
