I love this place. I did encounter a really creepy individual that I had to call the police on once, waiting in an area that was around the corner on the path hidden from the open areas so they could not easily be seen. I stopped coming for many years after that as it was such a scary experience. After coming back, it seemed as beautiful as a park as ever but I would still not go alone around sunset or just after it gets dark. It is a wonderful park, in a nice location, but it's good to be mindful that it is still a public area so don't put your guard down if you are alone just because it is beautiful. Always be aware of your surroundings.

Took my granddaughters, 5 & 9, for a change in there day. We tracked over to several playground areas. They enjoyed it. I found other parents friendly and willing to help provide all kids help spinning or swinging the playsets. Maybe I just caught people at a good time, but I think not. If we are friendly to each other it makes the memories for the children better in showing what being g a good neighbor is. The only downside was my 70 yro limping right leg could have used closer parking on a longer than intended walk back to the car. Still it was worth it for the little ones.

Red Mountain Park is our go-to place lots of open space for the kids to run around, playgrounds, shaded picnic spots, and community events throughout the year.

it was a beautiful day out. There’s an easy walking trail around the lake. The lake was bigger than I was expecting. There’s a lot of people fishing, but nobody seem to have any fish yet. One guy told me there might be some catfish down deep but they only stock it like every three months or so! Lots of places to sit on a bench and enjoy the view!
