The nature trail is very scenic. Didn’t travel too deep. Went through the Hoyt Hinson Hinson trail. Very nice to go deep if you are interested in challenging yourself. Just keep in mind to wear clothes that cover you head to toe, because you never know if you’re gonna get bitten by an insect or a snake. I had no bad experiences so far. Going alone can feel kinda eerie but cool. Didn’t see any sketchy things going on for the first time. Saw only a handful of people walking around. But to be safe, I would recommend go with someone. And I read the low reviews to my discernment, but they’re old. The car break ins? I didn’t face that thankfully.

Ribbonwalk nature preserve is a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy nature. The walking trails are well marked and easy to follow. There are many tall trees, shaded paths and lots of plants. It’s a great spot for a relaxing walk or taking photos.

MON 2025.06.30~07:10, i arrived at the parking lot. Sunny, low_80s_F and out i went for a walk. The trails ware well-maintained, with some construction-work in-progress. A few muddy spots though passable. The ponds, bog and woods were lovely. During the ~1+ hr of walk, i encountered a total of 5 people and 3 dogs; everyone was cheery and friendly.

****There are sketchy people that visit the trail and hang out in their cars.**** General safety practices on any trail Regardless of where you hike, follow these practices to reduce risk: Hike with a partner or group. There is safety in numbers, and hiking with at least one other person is one of the most effective crime prevention strategies. Tell someone your plan. Always inform a trusted friend or family member of your planned route, trailhead location, and expected return time. Check in with them when you've finished. Be situationally aware. Stay alert and pay attention to your surroundings. Avoid distractions like earbuds, which can prevent you from hearing potential threats. Trust your instincts. If someone makes you feel uneasy, trust your gut. Avoid or quickly move away from anyone who seems suspicious or hostile. Don't share personal information. Avoid revealing your itinerary, whether in person or on social media. Criminals often look for opportunities and easy targets. Protect your vehicle and valuables. When parked at a trailhead, do not leave valuable items in plain sight inside your car. Place them in the trunk before arriving. Avoid certain areas. Do not linger or camp near roads or trailheads. These areas tend to be more accessible to people outside the hiking community and carry a higher risk.

Such a beautiful hidden gem. We saw a lot of 🦫 activity. Great place to bring your kids, the trails aren't very difficult. Such a great experience all around. The only negative thing I will say is there isn't a big area for parking. Small area when you first arrive. So when it starts to get busy people will park behind you making it difficult to back out. Also heads up bathrooms are a Porta potty at the front.
