Meh. It's nice to have something so close, but they could have done a much better job. Only good for an emergency short outing. Playground has some interesting things. It's a small lot. They left ⅓ of the space unusable with just clovers. Could have made the playground or dog park larger. Dog park is very small and mostly dirt with a little randomly sized gravel. Didn't include water, even though they ran sprinklers, so I bought a 50gal water barrel. No shade anywhere. Random large boulders in dog and kids area are dangerous. No bathroom either.

Renovated park with off leash dog park, play area, and courts to practice hand ball sports. Bit noisy by I5 but otherwise it is good!

This place has absolutely no cover from the sun and is HOT be aware when bring kids, also means in the rainy months every think will be slippery.

This newer park is right on the other side (east) of I-5 in a residential area, so it's easy to miss if you don't live nearby. It's one of the tinier parks in Shoreline and still has growing grass, so lots of green and dirt areas are blocked off. There's a water fountain of some sort to the west of the parking lot entrance. The dog park is all flat with a few big rocks near each entrance, but that's all that's there. The ground material is gravel with some sand, so the sand gets on my dogs paws if I don't walk him off before we get back into the car. I imagine the dog park is pretty brutal on a sunny day because there's absolutely no shade cover. I don't get why they didn't spread the dog park out more onto some of the green patches, but a little bit of greenery would have been nice or at least some sort of obstacles other than giant rocks. I also had trouble figuring out how to open the gate (more complicated than normal) even with the instructions on the front, but people were nice enough to explain it to me. The playground structures look mediocre to me, but they're definitely unique shaped with lots of climbing opportunities. There were lots of kids running around, and the park seemed more like a nice area for kids to ride their bikes or scooters around the trails.

Park is hard to find and basic. But it's one of the very few places with open outdoor racquetball / squash / handball courts! Park on 161st
