Ridgepoint Park offers ample parking and a kid-friendly play area. It’s welcoming to dogs, and the shoreline trail is well-kept, perfect for jogging, walking, or biking. The sunset views over Lewisville Lake are breathtaking, and the sunflower fields in full bloom add a special charm. A porta-potty is available for convenience, and benches along the trail provide spots to rest and enjoy the lakefront sunset. It’s easy to see why this park is a local gem. I thoroughly enjoyed the trail walk and will definitely return.

This is a nice, mostly gravel path and is about a 7-mile round trip at Lake Lewisville. There is very little shade, so you have to be careful in the heat. Go early, take water, and enjoy.

We continue to enjoy the many trails in the area and the Colony Shoreline Trail is one we liked a lot. We walked about 5 miles. Saw some birds near the Scout park area The trail was gravel and was not too crowded. We were able to see the lake for most of the trail. Someone else had posted on the dog poop on the path and this was true so do look down when you walk, which is a shame since the view is much more interesting to look at.

Nice gravel trail for running and gravel bikes. Loved the air pump and tools in the parking lot. The marsh views are really cool. We saw a lot of birds including blue jays, sparrows, hawks, cardinals, egrets, and mockingbirds. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is due to the massive amounts of dog feces on the edge of the trail. Yuck.

The scenery is nice, and the trail fairly well laid out, but nowhere does it state the trail is one way, lol. I ended up in another park 3 miles away from my car.
