Been going here occasionally since it was built decades ago. Needs some repairs and upkeep, but for the price it wasn't a bad option. It's no frills but we had fun. The could spend a few dollars and hours at least moving paver blocks in place, as we did as we went (I'm a bit ocd, plus hard to figure angles with wonky borders) and cement or glue them back in. Leaf blower would be helpful also Lots of shade too. For $6 it was was decent. For upkeep i give it a 3, but for the price value a 4.
Good place to host a picnic. Shelter and plenty of seating areas are available. Volleyball court is also nearby. Plenty of open space to play games. Kids have multiple parks with slides and swings to play with. Swimming pool is also within the park. There are plenty of parking spaces. Restrooms are also available indoor.
Had a great time with the kids, and they enjoyed being part of this challenge. They even said they had only seen it on tv, but it was a great experience for them to live it themselves.
My partner and I went swimming at the beautiful outdoor pool. The only downside is the way they have the lap swimming lanes set up. They want you to swim down in one lane, go under the lane line, and back in another. I have been a swimmer for 30+ years and have never seen this wild setup at any other pool. It makes for a much less comfortable lap swimming experience, especially as it is not clearly explained whether you are expected to swim on the left or right side of the lane, given that it is one-directional swimming. Otherwise, the facility is quite nice.
Great 10 year anniversary obstacle mud course race. Had a blast.
