Riverdale park has three excellent play areas, geared for different age groups. The top area has lots of climbing options, monkey bars, swings, slides, and spinning toys. Two of the swings are equipped for children of all ability levels. The middle area has three super fast slides, a climbing wall, and monkey bars. The lowest area is meant for younger children, with a smaller climbing area and several swings, including bucket seats. We've loved playing there from ages 1-7 so far. When open, there are restrooms that are always clean. There are also picnic tables both in the open and under a small covered pavilion, a baseball diamond, tennis courts, and a hockey/pickleball court. There is plenty of safe parking. It's a wonderful asset to the neighborhood!
As a former 9 year student at Riverdale Elementary and middle school, I decided to revisit the park recently for a nostalgia trip! The playgrounds have been kept in really great condition, which is actually super endearing, they did however, get rid of my childhood favorite guy on the 3rd playground, rip that little spring loaded T-Rex. The padlocks over the basketball rims perfectly accentuate the vibe that Germantown is trying to give off, interesting and “totally not ignorant and biased” stylistic choice!!! If you are lucky, you may hear 13 gunshots off of Poplar Avenue, which is not too far from this park. When I emerged from the tree I was hiding behind, I decided I had seen enough for the night… Kinda mid park, but it’s losing a star because some random guy pulled up and called the cops on me for basically “being a person who was not them, in a public place…” -2 stars
Lots of shade and 3 different playgrounds for kids of all ages! Restrooms on site.
This park has all of the equipment that some of us experienced as children with a little bit more safety. All the monkey bars and jungle gyms. Steep slides. Great times! An excellent way to wear out your kids!
Great park with lots of things for kids to do. There are three playgrounds for all ages, there are tennis courts, pickleball courts, and a baseball field.
