What a nice surprise. We were looking for a place to walk off the most excellent dinner at Lasso Gougho. We came by this park totally by accident. Wow. What a wonderful Navy tribute. There are boardwalks and art work and an entertainment stage. The path go up and over the creek with a huge bridge. We definitely want to go again.

We attended the 2025 Holy Smokes BBQ Festival at the Park on 11/08/25. The large crowd was moved quickly through the entrance aspects of the day. Security was present but never oppressive. Local LEOs and volunteers were all friendly and welcoming. The 50+ vendors were excellent. The $95 ticket price initially seemed high but, in reality was well worth the price of admission. We stayed 3 hours and ate samples until we needed a nap due to food satiation. The Park itself is beautiful with great views of the water and Charleston horizon. Walking paths were everywhere with many benches available for rest or just viewing. We used Uber to and from the festival and that turned out to be wise as parking was limited.

Excellent park, has trails, grass, water, oh the water, the water views are biggest draw in my opinion. The Copper river in all its glory. Saw people fishing, eating outside at a restaurant as I walked the dog.

This is my most absolute favorite place to visit in Charleston... I wish there were some place similar in Summerville, but unfortunately there's no river flowing through the area. I enjoy every visit!!
