Riverside Park

Very beautiful park. Don't live locally but was in town for a family emergency, and my 7 year old daughter was getting antsy, so we walked down to this park, and it was lovely. The playground was nice and big. We found a bouncy ball provided by the park/city. There was a field with soccer, volleyball, etc. we got to run around on. The amount of 🐿 also fascinated my daughter.

The meticulously maintained grounds are a feast for the senses, with vibrant flower beds, lush green lawns, and towering trees offering dappled shade. The park offers something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the designated picnic areas, complete with comfortable benches, making it an ideal spot for a family gathering or a romantic afternoon. And let's not forget the breathtaking views! Whether you're admiring the cityscape from a scenic overlook or simply gazing at the clouds drifting by, the park offers a sense of peace and tranquility that is hard to find elsewhere. I wrote this siting on a bench in the park.. Emerald jewels, a verdant gleam, Where city's hum becomes a dream. Sunlight dances, shadows play, Chasing worries far away. Flowers bloom in vibrant hues, Whispering secrets, soft as dews. Children's laughter, pure and bright, Filling air with pure delight. The rustling leaves, a gentle sway, As time itself begins to stray. Peace descends, a tranquil grace, In this enchanting, verdant space. This park is a true treasure, a testament to the power of nature to soothe the soul and uplift the spirit. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a respite from the everyday hustle and bustle. The Pool area is nice, they have a lot of seating, lounge chairs , tables with umbrellas. They have a full restroom 🚻 for the patrons.

Riverside Park is lovely to have so close by. For the most part, the park is kept very clean. There’s a pavilion, numerous walkways, trash and recycling bins everywhere, plus plenty of benches. There’s also a playground, pool, open field, and body weight exercise equipment. For a smaller park, it’s well-equipped. The trash could be emptied more often and the exercise equipment could use updating/expanding, but otherwise a great place and very convenient!

Beautiful neighborhood park. Public pool open during the summer ($2 entrance fee). Newly installed exercise equipment, softball field, and park kiosk for live music and events. Big trees with abundance shade. Popular with dogs🐕
