This is a nice waterfront park. There is a stone loop path and a paved regional trail. Parking area paved. No restroom facilities.
Walk my dogs here all the time. Only because it's close. You can tell there's lots of drug use going on. I wouldn't suggest walking there alone if you are a woman I would not let my girlfriend.
It's a nice walking/biking path but I don't feel safe because of the large homeless addict population. Also, the unsightly, polluting mess they leave.
This will be a really great park when it's completed. The Bridge is complete,it is a fairly long walk from parking area off Hawley Rd. near SR516 .Will be an awesome place to watch Salmon from the bridge when they are running. Update: The walk is almost 1500 ft from the parking area. Don't know why they didn't build a parking area closer to the bridge there is lots of room and they actually had one there during construction and took it out. Bad choice in my opinion. Update 2025 There's a reason Nobody uses this park NO ONE wants to walk 1/4 mile and not be able to see their car and know if it's being broke in to or stolen. Build a parking area by the open space!
I recently restored salmon habitat to help save the salmon and orcas at this park we ran a very successful tree planting event to shade the water for the salmon. The park is beautiful and the event was awesome
