I find it so fascinating to be able to unearth new forms of fungi, even without having to go far into the woods. Urban parks like Robinswood are easily accessible by anyone to be able to appreciate this underrated and magical kingdom that is Fungi. As I made way, luck was on my side-- a new specimen of a mushroom exhibiting it's magnificently structured mycelium creeping up its stipe!
It has something for everyone! Excellent trail system that has offshoots with several options and great instructions. Trail is soft padded and fairly flat. But you immediately feel like you're in the forest away from the big city.
The park has numerous walking trails, through forest and around a pond.
