I've brought my dog here a few times now, its never over crowded and the dogs that come are always very friendly. I prefer this to the Mishawaka dog park, since that one is very popular and we are still working on proper socializing. It's nice because you can always walk your dog on the trail too.

Came here for the monthly Weed Wrangle to remove invasive plants from this historic park. It's a nice forested destination for those who want to enjoy peace on a hike. However, in South Bend, my preference is still Lydick Bog.

Lovely fenced in area with mature trees, dog houses, and benches! Of course there are bags too - for picking up. The dog park is split up between small dogs, large dogs, and a community area for any dogs. I only went when it was snowing, but in my experience it was not overcrowded at all. It is likely worse on a weekend with nice weather. The pens look a little small, but I was still able to throw my chuck it ball as far as I could without coming close to throwing it out of the large dog area. I did not use the wand - that may change things. There seems to be a bit more of a family vibe here than in the dog park closer to downtown SB, and it certainly feels more like being in a park

Didn't like the fact that they have the restrooms LOCKED. However, we make reservations and pay for the pavillions/shelters to hold events. They should have the restrooms open. This was very inconvenient and embarrassing. Then our Pavillion was half covered with leaves! One of our guests went and cleaned it with a box that I had.

I love that they have 3 different sections for the dogs. My rottweiler loves coming here
