My husband rides this trail pretty frequently and has never had any issue finding a parking space. He usually rides during the week but he’s also been there on the weekend. You can also ride from that parking lot on a little dirt trail that runs alongside Highway 76 to get into Guajome Park. At the fork, go to the right and go through the tunnel, which takes you underneath highway 76. It’s a pretty area to ride around as well.

Gorgeous views, easy cruise. 7 mile ride to the marina and beach areas including the famous Top Gun house where the Kelly McGillis character roomed. Head wind from the Ocean in, tail wind back.

Have been biking this trail for 10+ years. Love it! Safe, flat, calm, scenic, fun!

Small dirt lot and access to the river trail. It's 8.9 miles from here to the beach and there are mile markers along the way. Overall it's nice but I would avoid early in the morning and late in the evening. Also not the best place to be alone, there are some sketchy individuals living in the riverbed. Also watch for poison oak its just off the trail in many spots.

A fun start to our Sunday. It’s a gem to have this so close to our neighborhood. Pavement is in very good condition. Signage is great and mostly friendly cyclists and joggers who smile AND are attentive to safe passings.
