My wife and I enjoyed our visit. We walked the trail on the outskirts. We observed two Red-bellied Woodpeckers and a few squirrels during our walk. The nature preserve, sanctuary cannot be accessed without appointment or a guided tour. A guided nature tour of the sanctuary was posted near the restrooms.

Love the paved walkway throughout the natural habitat! Not sure how long the path is but a decent size! Wish it was longer but love the shaded areas and some picnic tables for a nice picnic lunch!

Have you checked out Sandy Ridge Sanctuary? 🌴🦜 It's a hidden gem with a charming playground tucked amidst a lush tropical wildlife habitat. It's like a little oasis of play in the midst of nature's beauty. What's really cool is that the city of Coral Springs offers tours of the wildlife sanctuary by appointment, so be sure to check out the details in the pictures. 📸🚶‍♀️ Now, back to the playground – they've really thought of everything! There are swings, a rock climbing wall and not one, but several slides for tons fun. 🤸‍♂️🏞️ And the best part? It's shaded and surrounded by picnic tables, making it a perfect spot to enjoy some outdoor time with the family. Sandy Ridge Sanctuary is truly a special place where nature and play come together. So, if you're looking for a unique adventure, this is definitely worth a visit! 🌿👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🎈 IG @kidsinflorida Facebook groups #ThingsToDoinFloridawithKids

Beautiful Sanctuary with an excellent tour conducted by the legendary Mr. Roy Gold every month, police patrolled/safe... thank you @ Coral Springs park and Rec., especially Murphy for keeping the Sanctuary so clean! Amazing clean peaceful place to enjoy.

How about you open up the nature trail to the public? This isnt Yellowstone, you dont need a guide.
