Update came back to have a picnic and have a good water fight. We followed the road all the way to Lockwood and finished the park exploring there. Great place to fly a kite. They have a dog park acorss the way. Its fenced in so we felt safe. Plenty of places to play baseball. Wide open spaces without a bunch of wires or trees.

What a great park! Big enough to support multi-sport, multi-team games and meets. Space for bus parking, a tree-lined drive and a dog park to boot. A gem of a park in Rockford. Travel during the day and with others. This particular area in Rockford is infamous for bad behavior and known for crime.

Lots of variety of options for things to do in this park. They have the BMX Track, a dog park, baseball and soccer fields plus lots of picnic areas also

There is some very friendly ppl there that are welcoming to newcomers and those who have just adopted a dog. The hiking trails are great for your dog to run unleashed and explore. Just make sure you read the rules for the park😉
