one of the most peaceful and beautiful spots in Knoxville. The walking paths along the Tennessee River are perfect for a relaxing stroll, jog, or quiet reflection. The park is always clean and well maintained, with plenty of open green space for families, picnics, or just enjoying the sunset. The mature trees and river views give it a calm, almost timeless feeling. It is a wonderful place to unwind and connect with nature.

Sequoyah Park has always been my dog’s favorite park, and it’s easy to see why. It’s wide open with lots of room for dogs to run, the river runs alongside the park which makes it peaceful and scenic, and there are also areas with trees for shade. There’s plenty of parking, and there’s also a nice, clean restroom at the beginning of the park, which is a big plus. As a responsible dog owner, I always keep my dog on a leash when people or other dogs are nearby. I only allow her off leash to run when I can clearly see there’s no one else around, and she is recall trained. The open layout of the park makes that easy to manage safely. The only downside is that after heavy rain, there are some low spots that tend to hold stagnant water for a while. Not a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of. Overall, it’s a great park—especially if you have a dog that loves space, water views, and room to move. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

Great place to have a picnic or to go for a walk! I really enjoy the great view of the lake. There are several very nice par benches to sit down on and enjoy the great atmosphere. Sequoyah Park is one of my favorite parks in all of Knoxville. Definitely check it out if you are in the area! Highly recommended! 100 A

Beautiful park right outside downtown Knoxville. It runs along the river with areas to picnic, relax, walk/run. I had some time to kill so went for a walk along the river. It was a beautiful sunny day and there were a lot of couples picnicking. On this particular day, I saw some people hiding behind some trees spying on one of these couples. Next thing I know the guy gets down on one knee and proposes. His gf, now Fiancé, bursts into tears with joy. The people hiding then jump out to congratulate her and she is so shocked and happy. I scurry along not to get in the way of the moment so be careful for all those couples out there.

Lovely hidden park in the heart of the city of Knoxville. Beautiful tall and big green trees and stunning lake. The landscape is amazing in this area. This park is in a very high end residential area. They have many interesting and unique sculptures and a round about with a fountain which is lovely to see. The grass is usually wet in the morning so shoes will get wet. Also love the small rock sittings made there on a trail which is on the wide divider(you need to go there to see what I’m saying). A must go place for a good morning’s walk if you live in Knoxville.
