Had a great walk through the trails, as long as your taking your time you will spot some of the wildlife. We got a great shot of a gator at the Duck Pond, lots of birds and turtles too! The interactive centre has a little gift shop where we found lots of great books for our daycare and little one on the way! Staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon ✨️

Beautiful place to take a hike along the boardwalk and take in all of the wildlife in the area. It truly is amazing at the diversity of birds and animals. Plan to arrive very early in the morning or around sunset to take full advantage of all of the wildlife. You need at least two to three hours here to take in everything at a nice & easy pace.

Very well maintained ecological park with boardwalk pathways & lookouts. It's a 1.2 mile walk that's mostly flat making it accessible for everyone. We were able to see alligators, pilliated woodpeckers, egrets, turtles, copperhead snakes & lots of other wildlife. You pay to park but it was only $1 per hour.

We're here from frigid Indiana for a week. Knew we wanted to go see the world-famous Everglades at some point. Happened upon Six Mile preserve by accident since we were shopping nearby. This is the dry season so, except for the many beautiful ponds you pass by, everything along the 1-2 mile boardwalk was dry - but interesting none the less. Great walk on a superb boardwalk. Nicely places viewing stations along the way where something of interest was highlighted. Saw a very big alligator sunning on a far platform - impressive! And, for geocachers, this is an excellent Earthcache that covers it all and makes sure you learn a lot about this really fine preserve.

Beautiful stop for lunch and a quick lap around the park. It was peaceful and relaxing. The park ranger working was very nice and informative. He even gave my 8 year olds a couple sharks teeth. A good stop if you're looking to kill a couple hours. There are picnic tables and grills and Publix is across the street. It is dog friendly and the water fountain has a fountain for dogs with cold water. Park, including restrooms are clean and well maintained. Will definitely bring my kids back as they really love the outdoors.
