Nelson Mallo Splash Pad is such a fun spot for families! 🌊 We've visited a few times with our little ones, and they always have a blast. The splash pad itself is well-maintained with various water features, perfect for cooling down on a hot day. ☀️ It's definitely designed with kids in mind, offering a safe and engaging environment. Plus, there's a playground area adjacent to it, so if your kids need a break from the water, they can still burn off some energy. 🤸‍♀️ It can get a bit crowded during peak hours, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great casual outing for a sunny afternoon! Highly recommend. 👍 On site are also some walking areas for people and 🐕 pets. They have a covered 🧺 picnic area and restrooms that are ♿ handicap accessible...along with most splash pad and playground structures.

Glad Malloy Park is open again! Love that the city paved the rest of the walking path that goes all the way around the two fully-fenced dog parks. Also love that they added a wheelchair accessible swing to this playground. This adds to the existing accessible play-space features of paved sidewalk ramps and poured-in-place rubber beneath the playground equipment. Updates for 2025: the splash pad is operational! Tip: Bring your own water to keep yourself, kids, and pets hydrated. None of the existing water fountains seem to work. That doesn’t stop kids from having a great time at this playground. As long as it’s not too hot outside, it really is a lovely park experience.

Closed twice in two days; when it was jsut opened two weeks ago. No explanation. Just a sign posted that the splash pad is closed. Aren't these splash pads supposed to be open from 10 am to 9 pm and from May 1 to September 30 per the City of Winston-Salem website??? But, you know which ones are open? The ones you have to pay an entry fee. Very disappointing.

The place is beautiful. The dog park is divided into small and large dogs areas. Negative: the water dispenser doesn’t work and there are chips bags on ground. Gates were left open. Evidently there is no control and no cleaning service nor maintenance. It can be easily fixed but who is in charge has to take responsibility, otherwise the structure will degrade fast. No waste bin big enoght

I really like this park but it needs some work. The playground is great. Perfect for all ages. The splash pad was broken both times we went. The first time someone from the city came out and was able to fix it. The kids had a fun time. Today we went and it was broken again. 2 city trucks pulled in and we were so excited that they were there to fix it and then they pulled out and left. We were all very disappointed. I hope it gets fixed soon and the trash and bathrooms can get cleaned up so we can come back enjoy it again.
