This playground is amazing! It has a super fun zip line that kids absolutely love. If you’re looking for a spot to let your kiddo burn some energy and enjoy the outdoors, this is definitely the place. Highly recommend for a fun family stop!

I would love to give this park 5 stars, but the HUGE problem is all the off-leash dogs outside of the dog park. We walk our dog here everyday (on leash) and people are not following leash laws and they are also letting their dogs onto the baseball fields to run around (who will often charge at us/our dog through the baseball fence.) IMO folks need to be heavily fined to curb the illegal off-leash activities that happen outside of the official, gated, dog park.

I walked the easy loops along the creek and liked how the park mixes open fields, shaded trails, and a small playground into a compact, family-friendly spot. The paths are mostly flat and good for strollers and casual bikes while side trails offer quieter stretches for birdwatching. Bring water and a light jacket for creekside breezes. Weekday parking is usually simple but weekends get busier near the sports fields, so arrive earlier for a picnic or to score a good bench. Dogs are common; keep them leashed where posted.

This is a great multi-use complex. It has two baseball fields that can be scheduled for use with Bellingham Parks & Rec. There is an open cement basketball court with limited bench area for resting/viewing. It has a dedicated dog park as well as walking trails & a couple of large maintained topographical fields perfect for walking/jogging/running etc. There are grassy areas too that would make a great place for a picnic or other family outing or would easily lend itself to a pickup game of the likes of football, soccer or Frisbee not to mention being ideal for kite flying in breezy weather. If this weren't enough to make it an all around family friendly zone there is a "million smiles" style playground that even includes a zip line that seems to easily handle weights up to 200lbs (from what I've witnessed) as well as a mini skate board area perfect for that young beginning boarder. And still, Adjacent to the playground is a Pavillion large enough to handle almost any family that would like to have a meal while enjoying watching there young ones play, or for hosting a decent sized get together or family reunion. (Although for larger audiences it might be best to reserve the pavilion ahead of time, again, through Bellingham Parks & Rec.) There are public drinking fountains attached to the stand alone brick structure which is centrally located & houses the restrooms. In fact The only thing that may feel slightly lacking is the bathrooms of which there are only 3 which may not be adequate to fully accommodate a larger crowd on a full mixed use day. Two are located in the dedicated central location brick building & the third is located next to the basketball court / dedicated dog park. There is no hot water, but there is soap for washing up and baby changing stations in both of the unisex bathrooms. The bathrooms have always been clean when I have been there and show regular attending to. The situation is no where near dire enough to reduce the review by even half a star & so a full star review is still ok here. Parking is usually ample for the size & features 8 easy access dedicated handicapped parking stalls and the park is definitely ADA compliant. There is also overflow parking that is made available if the park is scheduled for heavy use. I hope this review has been helpful to you. ~ #Mosiah

We had fun at the playground. It is a great place to stop for lunch on a busy day.
