This is a review of the disc golf course at this park. The park does seem very nice and was quite busy when we played disc golf there recently. My understanding is that the course layout was recently updated and, at the present, only has 16 holes. As an intermediate player, I would say this is a pretty challenging course due to the tight fairways and abundance of trees. Most if not all holes are in the woods. The course layout was easy to find our way around. There is only one layout and all of the holes are par three. The distance ranges from about 180 feet to well over 300. The course not only winds through the woods but elevation impact almost every hole (ascending and descending). We only had time to play once so I am hoping to get back soon as this was a fun (but challenging) course to play.

It's a nice family park with play areas, picnic shelter and restrooms. They is a pond with a beautiful waterfall. The bonus for me is that it connects to the Four Mile Creek Greenway. And that's a win-win for me!

Me and my children absolutely love this place!! Me and my son got to experience a summer camp program here which included us fishing in the pond and going on a nature scavenger hunt that was really fun and informative! One of our camp teachers caught a nice fish before releasing him back in the pond and we also found and incredible stash of blackberry bushes!! Theres so much for kids to do and a lot of really nice shaded trails with benches placed conveniently for rest, theres also a wooden pallet in the pond that turtles like to sit and sunbathe on me and my children absolutely love watching them!! We highly recommend this park and we love coming here :)

Squirrel Lake Park is a nice, 36 acre park with varied amenities. The park has a good-sized playground for both young and older children up to age 12. The playground equipment is in good working order with several slides of different sizes as well as monkey bars, a climbing wall, and swings. There are walking trails that go to Trade St. or along 4 Mile Creek to E. John St. The trail to Trade St. has a good tree canopy. The trail to E. John St. is mainly in the sun. There is 12 hole Frisbee Golf and Corn Hole. There is also a fishing pier built over the pond. There are two shelters available with picnic tables and outdoor grills. There is a restroom available.
