This dog park is an absolute gem! It’s always clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for by both the community and the staff. The grounds are spacious, with plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and just be dogs. What I love most is how well-kept everything is—trash bins are never overflowing, the grass is trimmed, and there’s rarely any mess left behind. You can tell people here really respect the space and each other’s pets. There’s also a great mix of shaded areas, open space, and seating for owners. The atmosphere is always friendly, and it’s such a joy to watch all the dogs play safely and happily. If you're looking for a safe, clean, and welcoming place to let your pup burn off some energy, this park is truly one of the best around!

First time we went there was no one, second time however there was a crowd. The ladies were nice but they do have spray bottles if dogs get roudy and start barking so if your dog doesn't like water or gets scared easily just watch out for that. The park is amazing, there's plenty of space and both the large and small area are similar in size unlike other parks where the smaller dog section is small. There is no water and no doggy pools allowed which is a bummer but there's a lot of dog equipment and a shaded gazebo on each side with a few benches. There's a place to wash your dog and a couple water fountains. Easy to get to the park because Stirling is a dead end road and it's right there. 4 stars because I didn't like how a few owners were scared of the dogs barking and started spraying them with water which isn't the parks fault but the rating is in general.

Park was really nice, plenty of room and separate areas for smaller and bigger dogs. Has a few benches, a gazebo and a few of those training courses like the ones used in dog shows, not sure how you call those but it's nice. Not a lot of parking though, most had to park in the grass but not a big issue. Will be coming back again, recommended 🤗 UPDATE: as of 6/9/2020 the park is OPEN, not permanently closed. We were there today with no issues.

Spacious, Secure, and Community-Approved I brought my American Bully mixed with French Bulldog to Steven L. Josias Dog & Equestrian Park on a Sunday morning and had an excellent experience. The park offers tons of space for dogs to run freely, and the energy was friendly and relaxed—with well-socialized dogs and respectful owners throughout. While my own dog doesn’t tend to bolt, several other owners—especially those with large or athletic breeds—pointed out how much they appreciate the 6-foot fence surrounding the entire park. It’s a small but critical detail that adds peace of mind, especially for those worried about jumpers or high-energy runners. The secure perimeter really makes this park stand out. There’s ample parking, a few shaded areas, and benches spread out around the park for resting and supervising. It’s not overcrowded and feels like a safe, open space where both dogs and owners can enjoy themselves without stress. This is a top-tier dog park and a great asset to the local community.

There is not much shade. There are plenty of places to drink water. Bathroom available. Too many owners don't pick up after their dogs.
