Beautiful, small, quiet piece of nature. Natural trail of leaves and roots. Great spot to take your leashed dogs.

This is a well maintained Virginia Beach public park. It's free and opened from sunrise to sunset. The whole family can enjoy this space. There's a couple of picnic tables, one with a canopy. There's a couple of port-a-pottys. There is a double looped forest walking trail on site. There's limited parking just before the entrance to the golf course. There's also a kayak/canoe launching dock right on the water near the parking lot. This is an ideal lake for kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding; even if you are just a beginner. No motorized water crafts or swimming are permitted here. The waves are usually small, and the currents are not too strong. The fresh water lake is lined with cypress trees and isn't more than five feet deep. The park is dog friendly, but they do require a leash. Monitor the weather forecast before heading out on the water. Bring your own food and drinks. Also, don't forget sun protection. This is a fun way to connect with nature and family.

Great relaxing kayak spot. There were so many great egret and blue heron. I couldn't count them all. I even seen 3 Double-crested Cormorants, and a handful of green hornet. It's a lot of fun to paddle in and out of the cypress trees. I didn't fish, but I imagine this would be a great fishing spot. They also have a dock. That includes rollers so you can roll your kayak into the water. I seen two restrooms. (Porta potties) I also seen a couple of picnic tables. I didn't see all the park has to offer. I went straight into the water.

Beautiful quiet lake. Several ducks and cormorant visible. Nice trails but there are many tree roots that could trip an unstable person. I will definitely go back to watch the seasons

Stumpy Lake is an easily accessible spot to view ducks, cormorants and herons. It has an ADA boat ramp. If you want to see lots of birds come early.
