It’s a beautiful, well-maintained park that offers a perfect mix of open spaces, walking trails, and scenic views of the wetlands. The picnic areas are clean and spacious, making it ideal for family gatherings or a relaxing afternoon outdoors. I love how peaceful it feels, even though it’s close to the city — you can hear the birds, feel the breeze, and enjoy a touch of nature without going far. The playground and open fields are great for kids, and the trails are perfect for a casual stroll or jog.

Nice park by the bay with lots of amenities. My one complaint, depending on when you go, is the $6 entrance fee. Often it is free in winter but hit or miss in other months. Plenty of parking, five different picnic areas for large groups, several playgrounds as well as multiple restrooms. There is a drone flying area which some people have complained about the noise, but this is relegated to a small corner of the park away from the picnic areas.

I love it at Baylands. I used to find it rather drab and boring but earlier this year my partner found out that the bay trail starts here at the right hand side edge of baylands. And that trail is super nice with ducks, and small kittens, and a small little lake. Baylands also hosted July 4th celebrations with drones here in 2024 which were quite nice. These days I just go to sit at the main pavilion and read a book. It’s very peaceful. Lots of picnic tables if you’re interested.

Plenty of parking space and the playground is nice for 2-4 year old children. It seems like there is less footfall in the park as there are cobwebs and not maintained well.

This park is a perfect spot for flying drones, kites, and model airplanes while enjoying breathtaking mountain views. It’s also a fantastic place for birdwatching and unwinding in nature. With picnic areas and playgrounds for kids, it’s ideal for a family outing. Plus, there’s a zoo nearby—just be sure to check its hours before you go!
