What a pretty park! We were so happy to discover this in the 'hood. Nice brightly colored slides for young kids to enjoy, a mini zipline, swings, and a mini basketball court. Looks well maintained and clean. It even has picnic tables and benches to sit on.

Surrey Downs Park is a beautiful and well-maintained green space in Bellevue, offering a great mix of recreational activities for all ages. The park features a spacious "Great Lawn," a modern playground with unique climbing structures and a zipline, a basketball court, and plenty of walking paths. There are also picnic shelters, restrooms, and a parking lot(HARD TO GET)but lots in street , making it a convenient spot for families and visitors. One of the highlights of the park is its scenic setting, with lovely views of Mount Rainier on clear days. The playground is thoughtfully designed with vibrant colors and engaging equipment, making it a hit with kids. However, accessibility could be improved—some areas, like the playground surface and parking, may be challenging for those with mobility needs. Overall, Surrey Downs Park is a fantastic spot for a relaxing day outdoors, whether you're playing with kids, enjoying a picnic, or just taking a stroll.

This is a really solid park for both older and younger kids. It's nestled in a neighborhood, while overlooking the sound transit. If you have little boys, watching the train go by is worth it on its own. There's plenty of parking. Note: A lot of time Bellevue Park and recreation parks its vehicles here. So the mornings seem a little bit hectic. There are bathrooms here. There is a playground for what I would say are older kids. Separately there is a smaller playground for younger kids. There are also swings. There are two separate covered areas with picnic tables. There are three picnic tables that are not under shade. Lastly, there are very great paved paths, and ones with pebbles. My kids very much so enjoyed writing their scooters on the sidewalks.

Overall a nice space. The park is pretty tucked away deep in a neighborhood, so was not super busy on a nice day.. a great alternative to city park. It has a parking lot with ~30 spots, which was convenient. There is a covered area with picnic tables and a walking loop that would be great for scooters or bikes. My son loved the zip line. We really liked that it had a play area designed for toddlers/smaller children. There is also a good sized, flat area of open grass— great for lawn games, tag, soccer, etc. Cons of the park are : VERY limited shade. The only shady spot is the covered picnic area. This was being used for a large party when were there, so was unavailable for the kids to sit under to cool down. The water fountain was either turned off or broken. (Good reminder for us to bring extra, extra water next time) The play structures were really hot to touch from the sun (even at 10 AM). My older son didn’t mind, but the 2 yr old was more sensitive to this and didn’t want to play on the equipment. The ground covering in the play area is bark— we aren’t fans of bark/mulch at all. It gets stuck in shoes/sandals/clothes, is hard to run (and inevitably fall) in.

Paths great for dog walking, large fields for a group setting, playground for kids and a basketball hoop. Overall the park is well maintained and easy to access with a decent amount of parking available.
