I moved to Wayzata last year and wish I discovered this park sooner. It has everything a dog owner would want. A fully enclosed fenced park. The first entry is fenced and to the left is the main unleashed park with ample space and a trail for your pets to explore. To the right of the fence there is a small dog park with 25lb less and for elderly dogs. The space is a bit smaller but perfect because it’s not too big that they would get lost. We also met the other dogs and they were very well behaved which was very appreciated. The owners here were also friendly, helpful and very thoughtful as well. They were always mindful of keeping an eye on their dogs. One woman gave us tips and even had informed us that her pup was not yet neutered because it was not old enough to get surgery yet just in case any of our dogs were also not spayed. There are spaces to sit and the smaller dog area has a nice shaded space to relax as well. This park was designed very thoughtfully and exceeded our expectations as well as the dogs and owners. You do need a parking pass to visit. The easiest way to purchase a pass is to go to the City Hall just less than 5 min away from the park. I purchased mine online and the pass happened to be 50% off. Just to note if you purchase online it takes a few days for the payment to process and you would have to wait for your pass to arrive in the mail. Worth every penny. Will be visiting this park often!

HUGE dog park with nice trails to walk on. Does get icy in the winter and muddy in the spring but of you go prepared it wont be a problem. The parking lot is really small but we tend to go at unpopular times so we have never had trouble finding a spot.

Large dog park with everything you need in a dog park. Was very busy while I was there, all dogs and owners were very friendly. It has a very large open area with a few picnic tables and cover for shade along with some nice trails for walking. Still an excellent park that I love to bring my dog to. I just wish more people would move farther into the park and stop clustering at the entrance.

This is a DOG park. Fully fenced, featuring a seperate side for small dogs. They do require you to have an orono parks parking permit. The parking lot is small and paid parking required if you dont have a permit. However, the doggie parents are usually laid back and friendly. All the dogs are really well mannered and they have a well pump for a water supply. The community takes pride in keeping the park groomed well. The land is not public. Owner gave permission to use this parcel for a city dog park. Great walking paths. Very peaceful. But again, its a dog park. Dogs roam free and play and bark and act as dogs do. So come with respect, and the parking shouldnt be an issue. 😜
