Great bike paths and walking trails. Places to sit and drink coffee. Bathrooms and a seasonal ice cream satellite location. I wish they had cameras or a way to track and fine the people that don’t pick up their dog’s waste, it’s unfortunately pretty prevalent. Maybe more bag stations and trash drops? Can’t fault them for bad dog owners though.

Gorgeous park to watch a sunset. Weeds/ wild plants add depth to the walking/ biking path. Picnic area, restrooms, walking trail is flat and made of cement.

It just wasn’t a very welcoming place. Not any trash in site, but plants were overgrown in some pedestrian areas. No shaded seating areas. I did not walk the full trail, just an initial discovery of the entrance area. Plenty of parking. Trails and sidewalks are wide and accessible for wheelchairs. Some sidewalk area had plant over growth and could get in the way of traffic with a wheelchair.

Terry Trueblood Rec Area is a nice location for walks or bike rides. The paved flat trail is fairly wide. The event building is popular for weddings and other special events.

A friend to bikers. They have a station near the bathrooms where you can do basic bike repair if you encounter an issue on the go. It’s a wonderful place to walk and run a loop. It’s one of my favorite places to go in Iowa on a beautiful day!
