Interesting concept. The fries, calimari, and chicken sandwich were excellent. We liked the tenders, and they were huge! The rings were tasty. Watching the dogs was interesting. Kind of a niche place that I would have to be in the mood for to go back. Bring your grandson- he loved it.

Great food/atmosphere/people! We will come here regularly! Update: I've been here three times now, and each time: The staff are all amazing - super friendly & clearly dog-lovers. The food and drinks are excellent, and the service is always quick and hassle-free. The overall environment is clean, cozy, and comfortable! My dog Alfred (and I) love coming here!

I stopped by The Barkery with my dog to check it out because I was curious about the concept and wanted to understand the value proposition. I was hoping it might be something that would be a good fit for us. The layout is interesting. There is a restaurant on one side and, across from it, separate off leash and on leash dog areas. You can order food and have it brought over, but there is a fifteen dollar fee to have your dpg with you unless you sign up for a fifty dollar per month membership. For me, that is a bit of a tough sell. Unless the burgers are significantly better than what I can get at Buffalo Wings, which already serves excellent burgers, it is hard to justify the added fee. I also asked whether they provide any supervision or if you can leave your dog there for a period of time. They were clear that they are not a daycare. You can bring your dog, but you need to stay with them. That is completely reasonable, but for my needs it limits the appeal. I live in the neighborhood and already have Willard Beach, where there are often a hundred dogs playing together peacefully, plus Fort Williams, which is partially off leash. Given those options, this is just not a fit for our dog. That said, I think the concept has potential, but the model may need some adjustment. If they offered supervision, even for a few hours, that would completely change the equation for me. Being able to drop off our dog while we go out for nice dinner and know someone is actively looking after him would have tremendous value. I wish them success and will be interested to see how the concept evolves.

We initially purchased a month membership and are definitely planning on getting another when it’s up! My dog has made lots of friends, the staff have always been kind and accommodating, and they have a good draft selection.

Great place to relax and have a beer with some good food while your dog is socializing and getting energy out. People may not realize that the $15 entry includes staff watching over all the dogs. For me, it's really great to know someone is there actively supervising dogs and willing to remove aggressive ones. It's one of the big reasons I skip out on most normal dog parks. Awesome place and great people!
