This place is lovely. There is a big dog side and a little dog side, above the well shaded dog park are several restaurants and a craft brew house. There is a bucket that can lower down your beer order, so that you can stay with your furry friends. Most people who being their dogs are down there with them, taking advantage of the ample space and seating areas. My dogs and my kiddo love this place.

This dog park was really lovely. The patrons all seemed to be friendly and it was nice being in a community space. We ate at the burger joint there, which was so-so in terms of the food and not great in terms of the service. The coffee shop/bar, however was great. I can't speak for the booze, but the coffee was great, as was the service. It would be great if there was more seating, especially seating where you could not only have your dogs but that was a little more shielded from the weather.

Pains me to give this place such a low rating, but it's warranted. I used to live in Austin Ranch a few years ago and frequented this place. I did not have a dog of my own at the time so I only had opinions of the atmosphere and food and drink options, which i loved. I now live in the Harwood district of Dallas and have a pup of my own. Thought it would be fun to drive there yesterday, visit my old hangout and let my pup play at the park. My pup is 10.5 pounds so we were going to the small dog park. Get there and there are about 10-12 LARGE dogs in the small dog park. I'm talking a Great Dane and multiple full size doodles and poodles. I am not an owner that will let my small dog go into the big dog park (there were many small dogs in there). My pup was almost killed by a friends "friendly" German Sheppard who attacked my little guy and picked him up by the throat. "He never does that!" is what we were told. My dog was only saved because someone tackled the big dog. Anyways, I will never let my pup purposely be in a position where this could happen again, hence why the big dog park is not an option. I asked someone why the small dog park was filled with large dogs and they said it was a birthday party. 1 of the doodles attacked another while we were there. I know that stuff happens, but another reason the big dogs shouldn't be in there with thr little guys who stand no chance of defending themselves! Since we couldn't go in, we decided to go get food for a bit. Witnessed a man walking around with his Doberman with NO LEASH outside of the fenced dog park. Witnessed a couple and another lady drop off their dogs in the dog park and then leave them there unattended. 30-45 minutes later, they still had not been back to watch their dog. Look, if people want to take their small dog to the big dog park, it is on them and their fault if their dog gets injured by a large dog. HOWEVER, if someone brings their big dog into the little dog park, now none of the little dog parents can rest easy without knowing if their dog will grt injured or not. It leaves the little dogs and their owners in an unfortunate position, but the large dog owner would be 100% at fault if something happened because they shouldn't be in there . Not worth the risk ! And for someone like me who refuses to put my dog in a risky position, it forces me to have to leave our own side of the dog park when an irresponsible owner brings their large dog into the section that they do not belong in. There should be a separate area for reserved parties or it should be in the area that fits the size of the dogs. Not a single small dog was at the reserved party, so should it not have been in the large dog section? There seems to be NO monitoring. No one says anything to the owners walking around with their dogs not on a leash. "Oh but he's friendly" is always an irresponsible owners excuse, until that "friendly" dog attacks someone or their pup for reasons unknown. We were bummed to waste our Sunday afternoon driving all the way there from Dallas only to be stuck in the food area most of the time. Just before we left we were finally able to get into thr little dog park for a few without any large dogs there. Unfortunately, this place is mismanaged and clearly doesnt care about safety. Won't be bringing our pup back here.
