One of my favorite parks is Washington Park, which features The Botanical Gardens, Carillon, and many local events. Not to mention it's beautiful, there is something to do for all various age groups! My family and I love the zoo and recently took Golf lessons with Linda and have been utilizing the amazing golf courses every since. In the winter we frequent the Junior Blues Games and try to ice skate as much as possible. Springfield Park District provides something fun for all ages!

Signed up for a class a week ago for a pre-test this is second time in less than two years that every time I sign up, they have an issue and yet two days before I test they call me again and say they’re full, but they have room for all the 1516-year-olds But none for the older… Definitely catering to the younger and having ageism involved. Mind you I’m a rescue diver, but too old for them.

Chuck Smith the Aborist was great to deal with and very kind and accommodating. We would not hesitate to deal with them again. The bench in Washington Park will be the perfect location to honor our parents and smile at memories. Thank you

I placed my autistic son in their "special needs" camp LEAP, which claimed to be geared specifically towards autistic and ADHD individuals. My son has meltdowns which I informed the camp director about BEFORE signing him up, to make sure their staff was equipped to deal with the typical autistic behaviors. I was assured that they would have absolutely no problem in catering to his individual needs. However, he was kicked out 1/2 way through the 3rd day of camp. When I called to consult about the issue with the director she decided she had wrongly informed me about accepting him, due to his "violent" behavior (she was referring to my son smacking a kid with his sandal who was bullying him). The staff are also very young women who upon arrival to pick my son up, were on their cell phones and chatting instead of paying attention to the children who were swimming in the pool. I strongly recommend AGAINST using their services! I will be placing my son back in the camp that YMCA offers, they aren't even for special needs but I NEVER had an issue there! Thankfully they still have a couple openings...It may cost twice as much, but you get what you pay for in this case! The experience I had with park district was very disappointing. Too bad because we were considering booking a wedding with them next summer. We will be taking our business elswhere after all of this.

Don't park any were that isn't painted in yellow!!! They have park cops with nothing better to do with their time than to shoot fish in a barrel. I received a ticket for parking in the grass. No one else around me received a ticket, they were all in the grass too. I was told that there is a special way to park and i was just to far in the grass. I spoke with the officer who told me that he wrote multiple tickets for "parking like this". How are we to ask people to come to our town if we give them no were to park and slap them with petty parking tickets. I HOPE MY $25 GOES TO NO PARKING SIGNS!!!
