I thought this was a great trail. I was originally coming off the crafton hills pathway. Beautiful and well maintained. A great starter trail for a young family or a weekend 😁🤟🏽 warrior like me
Great starting point you can definitely choose your own path and make it as long as you like. Lots of friendly people but not crowded. We went early morning and as the day got later we definitely encountered more people, a few mountain bikers but all in all a great hike. I suggest downloading alltrails app and mapping out the trails so you can see what your getting into because they vary from 3 miles to 9 miles loops or just in and out.
Ride up Three hawks and down Thunderbird if you are mtb rider
This 1 mile trail is popular with walkers, runners, hikers and mountain bikes you may even see the Yucaipa Cross Country team using it for training. Dogs should be on leash. The trail is accessible from Crafton Hills, Crafton Rd. and the Ridge access road. It can be linked with the Thunderbird trail for a 2+ mile loop.
Great little hike, awesome views and right now it is full of blooming flowers.
