I guess having a small fenced in area is technically a pet area, but its really tiny...no room to toss a ball...and it's all gravel, no grass, and mostly unshaded, which is tough on hot days. So, a safe area to let your dog do their business, if they don't need grass for that. There's lots of grass nearby around the rest area, but signs everywhere sayin no pets on grass. They literally have someone watching for any pets on the grass who will come up to folks to get them to move, even if dog is leashed and simply sitting with their owner in the same. Its the rule, so should be abided by, but seems a bit draconian.

I don’t know what photos those are but they are not Tie Fork Dog Park. It is an okay rest stop, but the dog area is a small gravel dog run , not a dog park with pond like the pictures show. It was well stocked with dog bags and an okay potty stop, but do not go by the amazing pictures with ponds and grass and play area. In fact the only grass there has a sign saying no dogs allowed.

Extremely small. No grass. Nothing for stimulation other than lots of poop

Generally is well maintained and is over stocked with wag bags if you forget yours. No brainer stop for the dog. Pay it forward and help keep it nice.
