One of the coolest dog parks we have ever been to. People are chill. The park is huge with plenty of grass and water for the pups. Careful walking around outside the dog area as it is an active and very busy disc golf course.

The king of all dog parks! I’ve been to many around the country and this is second to none! Basically an island surrounded by a mote and fencing at the far end. A safe place to let your dog truly run and play.

Dog Island is a spacious, general-use dog park with a separate, smaller area at the southeast end specifically for small or shy dogs. It’s a popular spot, and parking is usually ample—unless there’s an event at the nearby park, which can often limit parking, especially during the summer months. Each entrance features double gates waste bags. Portable toilets are available just outside the park entrances, but there are also permanent restrooms a short walk away near the playground. During the winter months, heavy use combined with precipitation often leaves the turf muddy and damaged. Many locals opt to take their dogs to the large, open field at Ann Morrison Park instead. This field, located southeast of the Ann Morrison Fountain, is designated for off-leash use during winter only. It's a great oopt, as long as your dog isn't an escape artist, as it helps preserve the turf at Dog Island during the vulnerable months. The pond at Dog Island is typically drained during the winter and refilled in the spring, though I'm not sure if the exact schedule. The natural water features make this a popular spot for ducks and geese, so if you or your dog have issues with the birds—or the mess they leave behind—this might not be the best choice for you.

My furry baby Coco and I Love it here each day! He knows when we're coming into the park as he loves his social time with other furry babies! Great place to enjoy social and play time off leash for furry babies and their owners!

I had a bad experience with this park. It is truly gross and unkept. There is dog poop and tons of mud and goose poop EVERYWHERE. There are TONS of homeless people around the entire park. I saw two lady’s dogs get attacked in one day. With the homeless everywhere and the dog attacks I felt very unsafe for myself and my dog. The people there were also not very kind. Some dogs played good but overall just all very messy, uncontrolled and unkept.
