I’m visiting some friends here and decided to take a walk around the complex while they had the kids at the miracle park. I’m pretty big into dogs so I decided to check out Dog Park. Pretty standard fair. It gets good grades for the garbage is not being overflowing, and there were some pretty nice obstaclesand equipment for dogs to interact with. It was a pretty cold day the day before Thanksgiving middle of the day, so there weren’t any dogs when I got there. Too bad was hoping to get a little bit of dog fix.

I love to bring my dog here, however some of the equipment is broken, and dangerous they finally put tape around one thing however dogs can't read, they run up the ramp only fall on top of busted up wood under ramp, as you can see in one picture there is a ton of peices of wood and would be a simple fix, also it's not even caution tape, it's a crime scene tape. It's frustrating that someone is getting paid good money working as maintenance for the city, but is to lazy to pick up the broken wood and clearly does not care if some dog gets hurt, and wow it needs 3 boards, hammer and nails to make it new again. Another thing broke is the gate every dog slips threw the gap to play with dogs on other side, another very simple fix, the gate doors to enter into the fenced area one is missing the others u can't latch because they are not the correct size..makes me mad that maintenance does nothing but cut grass, and don't say not in the budget because the things that need fixing, to not be dangerous would cost less than 100. And thats our taxes. Do your job before some child or dog gets hurt. Just pure laziness, and doesn't care, just mows around it..

Decent size although it could be much larger given the size of the park. It has some agility stations available although one was in disrepair. Benches are available. The water faucet and trough is an excellent feature. Dog park has a separate section for dogs that weigh 20 pounds or less. Overall, the dog park seemed a tad tired and in need of an upgrade. Fortunately, there was a sign posted that indicated there is an overhaul coming.

While not very busy on a Thursday mid-morning this was a delightful park. It was clean, had some fun equipment, running water fountain, shade tree’s with benches under, well kept dog park. It was a great stop and the walking trail that runs near it was an added bonus.

The dog park is okay but a bit small. Still, it is a good place to take your dog. The worst part about it, is that it is not very secure. One side lacks a double gate. The small dog park is not very secure either. Both suffer a bit from a lack of maintenance. There are old holes that have not been filled after being there for months. There is water for the dogs but the spigot sprays water all over the place. Some of the ramps are in poor repair. Our dogs do love it there and the other dog owners are very nice, I just wish it was maintained better.
